Live Music w/ Brian Burke the Back Pocket Buddha Singer
Brian Burke (Back Pocket Buddha) hails from New York but has been in North Carolina for over 20 years. He has been playing music and performing for audiences since his days in high school when all he had was a crappy guitar and a naive but unbreakable vision of his musical life. With a repertoire so vast, he is sure to strike you with a song that you have heard before and have enjoyed. He describes himself as his own personal jukebox, meaning, if he likes to perform it then it will join his collection. He infuses his own style into the songs he plays making cover songs his own. Anything from country to jazz, Americana to folk, you will certainly understand once you see one of his shows. Multi-tasking while playing is Back Pocket Buddha’s specialty. He sings, plays guitar, plays percussion and utilizes a looping system to give his audience a full band sound. Back Pocket Buddha has played up and down the east coast and has opened up for artists such as Kasey Tyndall and Blac Rabbit. He has also shared the stage with several musicians over the years and performs about 150 shows per year. Checking out Back Pocket Buddha will definitely be a memorable experience!
